Cool Japan Music proudly announces the release of CoolJapanMusic App, the ultimate artist portal for the smart-phone generation, especially focused on the music and artist from Japan who are seeking international exposures. The App currently supports iPhones (Android versions upcoming) and will be available at US iTunes Store starting February 15, 2011.
CoolJapanMusic App is the artist portal to introduce hot new talent and brand new music from the land of rising sun. It’s a must have app for Japan mania and music lovers who are in tuned with hipster alternatives, club music, hip hop and R&B/soul, as well as J-pop, J-rock, Anime Songs, Game OSTs and a buzzing social media icon, Hatsune Miku and vocaloid tracks. Be connected with their international album and video releases, twitter, facebook, blog updates and more!
On the initial release, CoolJapanMusic App incorporates the vocaloid compilation album, titled Vocarock Collection 2, by Farm Records, which features hard rock and metal head Hatsune Miku titles. The compilation tracks were originally created by anonymous and talented vocaloid producers who upload their music to video sharing site for fun, and receiving more than a half million views per track. Created and supported by the social media scene, vocaloid and Hatsune Miku suggests a new way of expressing music and its derivative works (animation, dance, games..) as well as their fans discovering, developing and supporting artists.

CoolJapanMusic App also ships with Japan’s #1 Hip Hop Star, KREVA and a young R&B sensation SHOTA as well as several other club music gurus and alternative rock acts who are still new to the US scene, and will keep adding many more artists as we go along.
