Special Acoustic Tour, "In The Universe" 

Kubota is launching a special tour with acoustic band in outdoor concert halls accross the country in this fall. Here's the dates:

Last year made Kubota’s 25year anniversary, and this year, he is releasing “Parallel World II KUBOSSA” the follow up to 1991’s Reggae themed album “Parallel World I KUBOJAH”. The Parallel World series showcases Kubota’s alternative music style besides R&B and Funk Music that he usually conveys his voice and messages. The Parallel World literally means the co-existence of both worlds and you could find Kubota in both.

This album includes 2x brand new songs he wrote as well as the self-cover songs (“Amaoto”, “Dance If You Want It”, a Love Story”) and remake of R&B classics including Stevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” and Isley Brothers’ “Between The Sheets”, as well as Bossa Nova standards, “The Shadow Of Your Smile” and “Corcovado”.

The album drops in Japan on July 3rd 2013.

Toshi's 25th aniversary brand new album is finally out in Japan!

Spotlighting various pieces of his life: passion, romance, ocean, NY, hero, mother,..  , which shaped his personality, and each song unfolds a story telling, yet non-fictious vibes of Toshi himself.

Album title represents Toshi's music life within R&B/Soul universe, the uncompromised Kubota style.

The album features "Koeni-Dekinai" the upcoming movie, "Yoakeno Machide" based on the noble by Keigo Higashino, as well as his first male duet, "Golden Smile" with Atsushi of EXILE, "Umie Kinasai" originally written and performed by Yosui Inoue, and also today's cutting edge trackmakers including KREVA, ALI-KICK, and MANABOON.

25th Anniversary Album, "Gold Skool" will be released on 8/3

Only 18 months since his last studio album, "Timeless Fly", Toshi will release his 25th anniversary album, "Gold Skool" on August 3rd in Japan. It reflects his life size and down to earth personality and features collaborations including EXILE's Atushi.
