KUBOSSA
KUBOTA + Bossa Nova = KUBOSSA
Last year made Kubota’s 25year anniversary, and this year, he is releasing “Parallel World II KUBOSSA” the follow up to 1991’s Reggae themed album “Parallel World I KUBOJAH”. The Parallel World series showcases Kubota’s alternative music style besides R&B and Funk Music that he usually conveys his voice and messages. The Parallel World literally means the co-existence of both worlds and you could find Kubota in both.
This album includes 2x brand new songs he wrote as well as the self-cover songs (“Amaoto”, “Dance If You Want It”, a Love Story”) and remake of R&B classics including Stevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” and Isley Brothers’ “Between The Sheets”, as well as Bossa Nova standards, “The Shadow Of Your Smile” and “Corcovado”.
The album drops in Japan on July 3rd 2013.
